Stunning actress Cameron Diaz has one of Hollywood's hottest bodies but she's not happy.
The Shrek star is eager to swap her superfit toned tummy for a baby bulge after making the rom-com What To Expect When You're Expecting.
Time may be against her - she turns 40 in August - and there's no Mr Right in her life but Cameron is still relaxed about the prospect of motherhood.
The broody star also remains grounded, is living for the moment and even happy about getting older.
She said: "This film made me want to have kids, either by giving birth, adoption or with a partner who has children.
"I'm totally looking forward to having my own family one day but I have no idea how things will turn out."
Cameron, the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek, has broken up with a string of high-profile boyfriends but seems easygoing about finding her perfect partner. She said: "I very much live in the moment. I don't worry too much about the future so I have no idea what is going to happen next.
"I have so much love to give. I'm open to however love comes into my life."
Cameron certainly has plenty to give as aspiring singer and TV fitness show host Jules in What To Expect.
She and husband Evan, played by Glee star Matthew Morrison, 33, are about to have a baby.
Model
Singer Jennifer Lopez, 42, comedian Chris Rock, 47, and actor Dennis Quaid, 58, also star in the comedy about five couples facing parenthood.
But, despite the film's impressive cast, Cameron said she and her co-stars were humble on set.
She said: "The midwife was amazing. She had delivered a thousand babies and was there to help us keep it authentic."
She said: "There is no hierarchy in the film business. There are people who can't do their job without me and there are people I can't do my job without.
"Films are never about me. It is all about the production, making this well-oiled machine function as well as it can."
Former model Cameron, who broke into movies starring opposite Jim Carrey in the 1994 smash The Mask, does not see herself as a star.
Although the millions of fans who have flocked to her hit films, such as Vanilla Sky, Charlie's Angels, Gangs Of New York and There's Something About Mary, would certainly disagree.
And, in spite of all her success, Cameron does not take being a film star for granted.
She said: "When I have to do my job, there's certain things that can't happen. I can't get dirty because my costume is important. It goes on camera.
"I can't take time to be taking a stain out of it if we're on a tight schedule. It's a multi-million dollar business. I also have to be somewhere right when they need me, they want to know where I'm at and what I'm doing."
Last week Cameron found she had to deal with what happens when the cameras stop rolling.
She went on Ellen DeGeneres' US chat show to deny claims that she and Jennifer Lopez had been in bust ups on the set of What To Expect.
She said: "The claims we were having catfights on set were so funny. We were laughing and saying to each other, 'We haven't shot scenes together'." Cameron said they had known each other for 20 years and, at one time, their boyfriends had played sport together.
"We used to go watch softball games. She's a lovely girl. I really enjoy her. I wish we could have shot together."
Clock
Away from work, Cameron is still looking for love and has firm ideas about the right relationship.
She said: "A partnership to me is equal. It's not one dominating the other."
The Californian-born actress also said she has learned a lot from costar Matt: "He's one of those people that stays so connected all the time. You can really rely on him.
"You want that in your partner when you're working but he is also that way as a person.
"That gives me hope that there's more guys who can stay connected."
But if Cameron's biological clock is ticking as she approaches 40 she was not showing it. She said: "I don't care about wrinkles. I feel stronger, my body's better than it was when I was 20.
"I feel better than I've ever felt in my life.
"I'm happier, wiser and know myself better.
"I'm so happy I'm getting older. Why would I want to throw away how I feel for the way that I look?"
Cameron swears by eating consistently well and said: "I want to be doing at 60 what I'm doing right now.
"I don't want to stop. I want to enjoy it and the only way that I can do that is to maintain fitness and health in my body."
She said: "My key to happiness is gratitude.
"I think we live in a society that's totally ungrateful. We feel entitled.
"We feel things should be immediately delivered to us whenever we want them, instant gratification, and I don't feel that way.
"I live with what I have, I appreciate it, I love it.
"I guess I'm most grateful for my friends and my family and my opportunity to just be here to live life to the fullest.
Dream
"To sit around thinking: 'Oh, I wish I had this or that I could go back here' is not worth it.
"I always thought it was weird when people would say their high school years were the best of their life. What?
"This moment is the best moment of my life and I want to live in the best moment of my life, not in the past." Hollywood success came fairly easily for Cameron with her 1994 break. She said: "I didn't feel it to be tough when I started out in the industry.
"Certainly after The Mask there was a lot of people wanting to pigeonhole me into becoming one kind of actress.
"I chose not to let them because I felt I would rather experience more diverse roles. It worked out, so I guess I got lucky."
She will be hoping for a similar dose of luck to make her dream of becoming a mum come true.
